At First Baptist we
believe our students have the ability to change the world around them,
by being the light that shines in the darkness of their generation.
We try to equip them with the tools to be salty and bright, through:
- Sunday School lessons designed to
take them through the bulk of the Bible in the course of their junior
high and high school years,
- Wednesday Night Youth which we call
The Ooze, based on Luke 6:45 "The good man brings good things out of
the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things
out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." If we are filled with Christ, we should Ooze the goodness and holiness of Christ.
- Special Events that show them and teach them to be in the world without being of the world.
